十月十七，台湾开选举，投票选官，名九合一，选县市长、县市议员，乡镇长、村里长。凡二十二县市，国民党获十五席，大胜。尤可贵者，赖猛将韩国瑜，廿载再返高雄，国瑜，草鞋之夫，尝力廓民进众徒，后监菜业，深孚民望，市长之职遂得焉。
