大陸詩草魏序\n甲寅冬，連子歸自北京，夜款餘關，出所為大陸詩草，以序屬餘；既而別去，重以書相屬。餘於詩非所長，何敢為序？第念我先民自中華大陸來居茲土，涉重洋、冒危難，披荊斬棘，以闢田廬、宏子姓。當其時，豈暇治文字哉？其後騷人墨客蟬聯競起，類皆寄滄洲之逸興，寫鯤海之風光，取材不富；欲求如連子行數萬里路、大暢厥辭者，奚可多覯？連子涉江、渡河，入燕都，出長城，登陰山；忖其志，豈徒欲以詩鳴哉？將牢騷滿腹，目之所擊、足之所履，人力舟車之所至，懷古傷時，慨然著為吟詠；道山川美好，不可不惜，歷史興亡、國家民族凌轢隆替，不可不鑑。故前後百數十首，義存乎揚厲，不嫌其誇；情迫於呼號，不病其激。而其奔放處，苦心孤詣，務去陳言，其辭雖騁，其旨實歸。左太沖、阮嗣宗詠史詠懷之亞也。\n連子為人如其詩。五年前與餘訂文字交。未遊大陸，文多於詩；既遊之後，詩文益變。連子南人，名橫，字雅堂，武公其號也。\n乙卯春，潤庵魏清德序於臺日報社。\n## 大陸詩草自序\n連橫久居東海，鬱鬱不樂，既病且殆，思欲遠遊大陸，以舒其抑塞憤懣之氣。當是時，中華民國初建，悲歌慷慨之士雲合霧起，而餘亦戾止滬瀆，與當世豪傑名士美人相晉接，抵掌譚天下事，縱筆為文，以譏當時得失，意氣軒昂，不復有癃憊之態。既乃溯江、渡河、入燕都，出大境門至於陰山之麓，載南而東渡黃海，歷遼瀋，觀覺羅氏之故墟而吊日俄之戰跡，若有感於東亞興亡之局焉。索居雞林，徘徊塞上，自夏徂冬，復入京邑。將讀書東觀，以為名山絕業之計，而老母在堂、少婦在室，馳書促歸，棄之而返。至家，朋輩問訊，輒索詩觀。發篋視之，計得一百二十有六首，是皆征途逆旅之作，其言不馴。編而次之，名曰「大陸詩草」，所以紀此遊之經歷也。\n嗟乎！餘固不能詩，亦且不忍以詩自囿。顧念此行窮數萬里路，為時幾三載，所聞所見，徵信徵疑，有他人所不能言而言者、所不敢言而亦言者。孤芳自抱，獨寐寤歌，亦以自寫其志而已！殺青既竟，述其梗概，將以俟後之瞽史。\n乙卯仲春，臺南雅堂連橫序於劍花室。\n## 大陸詩草題詩\n## 題大陸詩草臺中林資修（幼春）\n萬里歸來連劍花，朔風吹髮動鬖髿。久懸佳傳規倉米，滿寫新詩入壁紗。是處釣遊名士轍，中宵歌哭酒人家。出門我亦方西笑，看汝先驅建德車。\n## 前題臺北李書（逸濤）\n挾策中原試壯遊，俗儒狂笑腐儒愁。著書直括三千載，潑墨橫流十二州。大塊文章歸史筆，小廬風雨惱詩囚。無端復唱江東去，絕響銅琶弄未休。\n## 前題臺南趙鍾麒（雲石）\n天地生才本不豐，七鯤乃有連武公。讀書萬卷行萬里，使筆如劍氣如虹。宋豔班香合身手，河黃塞紫吞胸中。一篇大陸新吟草，雕繡人間作虎龍。\n## 送劍花歸臺南武進吳堅（痌鴛）\n骯髒京塵剩墨妍，古心同抱亂雲眠。盧前王后居相侶，島瘦郊寒窮益堅。陳夢雞林詩有價，新聲鴻館筆如椽。關山頗耐恆娥冷，侍擁紅閨貼玉肩。\n## 劍花歸來，再主南報，賦此以贈臺南黃欣（茂笙）\n一代才華信有餘，梁園無地借相如。關河到處難為客，風雨中宵且著書。太史自稱牛馬走，伊人宛在鷺鷗居。江湖我亦扁舟侶，擬買青山共結廬。\n## 寧南詩草胡序\n寧南為臺灣首善之區。三百年中，詩文充汗，有其名而無其詩，有其詩而卒少有人焉為之後者，豈以玄海為鴻溝哉？近代卓越如連子，旗鼓騷壇，獨饒著作，其亦可謂三百年文獻中之秀者歟！然而海桑身世，為時屈、為地屈、為名與利屈，則其人品、文品、詩品亦為之一變。有心文獻者，無不為連子惜，併為寧南人惜也。\n餘與連子為文字交，又同里閈，所以屬望者甚殷。而連子能獨以文豪。且非僅以文豪也，落日神洲，仗劍壯遊，其人奇、其氣奇，則其詩亦無之而不奇。甚不可以寧南第二人自命也！連子少主報政，論大事幾二十載，獨介然不為功名富貴動其心；雖歷試諸艱，不挫所守，嗚呼賢矣！\n中國革命以來，搶攘昏墊，棘地荊天，出其死力以與五千年史學相抗衡，噩噩落落、莽莽蒼蒼，為文獻中備一席。其造就豈等凡哉！嗚呼！臺灣之時何如時、地何如地、名何如名？寧南詩草之傳不傳，何待序哉？何待序而始著哉？寸心自足千古，持此以序寧南之詩，而寧南之詩為何如矣！\n丁卯孟諏，臺南胡殿鵬序。\n## 寧南詩草自序\n甲寅冬，餘歸自北京，仍居寧南。寧南者，鄭氏東都之一隅也。自吾始祖卜居於是，迨餘已七世矣。乙未之後，餘家被毀，而餘亦飄泊四方，不復有故里釣遊之樂。今更遠隔重洋，遁跡明聖，山色湖光，徘徊几席；而落日荒濤，時縈夢寐，登高南望，不知涕淚之何從矣！\n客中無事，爰取篋中詩稿編之，起甲寅冬、訖丙寅之夏，凡二百數十首，名曰「寧南詩草」，志故土也。\n嗟乎！寧南雖小，固我延平郡王締造之區也。王氣銷沈，英風未泯，鯤身、鹿耳間，其有唏發狂歌與餘相和答者乎？則餘之詩可以興矣！\n丙寅仲秋，臺南連橫序於西湖之瑪瑙山莊。\n##
